Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 Exams Announced

Along with the RTM announcement of the Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 products, Microsoft is getting the Certification exams ready for both products, they are currently still in the  development (beta) stage.

The Lync 2013 Exams will be released first, scheduled for 6th Nov 2012. Along with expected exam numbers:

  • Exam 70-336:  Core Solutions of Microsoft Lync Server 2013
  • Exam 70-337:  Enterprise Voice & Online Services with Microsoft Lync Server 2013
The two exams above, gives credit towards the new certification: MCSE: Communication.

The Exchange 2013 Exams will be available in the new year, from 31st Jan 2013. Along with expected exam numbers:

  • Exam 70-341:  Core Solutions of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013
  • Exam 70-342:  Advanced Solutions of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013

The two exams above, gives credit towards the new certification: MCSE: Messaging.

For both MCSE certifications, there is an requirement of MCSA: Windows Server 2012, before you can achieve the MCSE within Communication or Messaging.

    • It depends. If you need some instructor-led training, you pay for that at a Training Center and the take the exams.
      Otherwise if you plan on reading for it yourself, the cost would be for books and the exams.
      The exam prices vary from country to country, but you can check it at the http://www.prometric.com website and book here for your country.
